Intervention
People can experience difficulties or challenges at any point in their lives, such as anxiety, low mood and trauma. At other times, life events like bereavement, the ending of a relationship or unexpected illness can make people feel upset, distressed and confused. The help and support of a clinical psychologist can help ease these painful feelings and work towards adjustment and an improved sense of well-being.
Psychological intervention for children and adults at Lifespan Therapy is evidence-informed and individually tailored. Depending on the person and the challenges they are facing, intervention can include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and individual psychotherapyWe aim for as few sessions as possible, but can also offer longer term work if that is necessary.
